Harbor City Elementary STEAM Academy offers rigorous, standards based instructional programs in a collaborative setting from pre-K to 5thgrade. Our award winning staff includes: 28 fully credentialed teachers including 14 with Master’s Degrees in Education, 14 bilingual in Spanish, 5 Nationally Board Certified, and 2 named LAUSD Teacher of the Year.
We are a public school serving PreK-5th grade students in Harbor City, CA.
Harbor City Elementary is a single-track school with a population of approximately 523 students, part of the Los Angeles Unified School District,
Local District South. We are school-wide Title 1, 100% of our students receive free meals (breakfast, lunch, and supper).
We currently have 2 Special Education classes. Our three Special Day classes at Harbor City Elementary include:
1 MD class (K-5) and 1 Upper Aut. class.

Harbor City Elementary STEAM Academy wants success for all learners. Our staff knows that in order for a student to learn, we must meet the child on his/her level. We use the data from assessments to drive our instruction and intervention to yield amazing results.
Our staff works as a team to implement schoolwide designated differentiated instruction for all students, throughout the school day, after school and even on Saturdays!

What makes us MIGHTY is that we know preparing students for the future means giving them a variety of learning experiences. In addition to music, chorus and art, our teachers offer a variety of activities such as dance and yoga! Our learning is rigorous, standards based, creative and fun!
